Grassroots Web brings non-profit managers together with experts from internet companies, as well as those interested in using technology in or volunteering for non-profit organizations. By learning about new technology and techniques, we hope to further the missions of non-profit organizations, giving them the ideas and tools they need to improve their social media marketing, business development and technology solutions.
Our meetup covers many different topic areas - everything from using Facebook to motivate activists to developing iPhone apps that engage constituents; from advanced search engine marketing techniques to the latest in open source software and database tools to manage non-profit businesses. If it's on the cutting edge of tech, we want to talk about it.
We welcome anyone who works for a non-profit organization or who has an interest in working with a non-profit, or those from the private sector who want to share their knowledge and insights about technology while learning more about these organizations. We also welcome people from non-profits that are already using technology in their marketing or development efforts to share their success stories.
We look forward to having you join our group in whatever capacity you can.
