Even as the economy begins to rebound (we hope) budgets are still tight for non-profit organizations. This panel will explore free and cheap tools to help organizations and causes organize online and make the most of their outreach and development efforts. The panel will be followed, as usual, by open discussion and networking.
Speakers will be include Shane Hankins, Executive Director of Grassroots.org, and Elizabeth Jenkins, a data geek who has worked with Change to Win, Planned Parenthood, SEIU, and Jobs with Justice. Discussion will be moderated by Charles Lenchner formerly of WFP.

“ The moderators did a good job of not lecturing, asking people with questions to state their name and organization. I would love to see more emphasis on interactivity in future meetings and perhaps breakout groups with specific audiences in mind. Seems like there could be working groups, too, for those interested in working collaboratively - that way the meeting is not purely informational. Seems like there was much preaching to the choir (many programmers, designers looking for work and not so many nonprofits), but perhaps there would be more participation/attendance if things were more handson/skillshare based. ”
