This meetup is being organized by Connecting.nyc, and is also posted at our meetup (please RSVP on either site, but not on both). So, this isn't an official meeting of the Grassroots Web Tech group, but I know it will be of interest to its members. Thanks to Leon for letting me post it here.

Also, thanks to the Open Plans team for agreeing to host this meeting (note the change in location)
. Connecting.nyc is committed to fostering civic participation in New York City, with a focus on network technology and communications-related public policy. In keeping with this, we employ open and participatory practices in running our own organization. Our current campaign is to acquire the .nyc top-level domain (like .com or .us, but just for New York City) and to manage this domain in the public interest.

You can help us take our campaign to the next level. Here's the proposed agenda:

7:00 - 7:15 Introductions
7:15 - 7:30 Presentation by Connecting.nyc
7:30 - 9:00 Discussion

As always, there will be wine and healthy snacks. See you there.
